Committee Meeting on Provisional Franchise / MTOP

The Committee on Transportation and Communication conducted committee meeting on the above-mention ordinance together with:

Honorable Peter Ascano presented through a power point presentation the Provisional Authority for Motor Cycle for Hire-Service and explained each section one by one so that the operator is reminded or aware of his/her obligations. Also, the committee concern discussed the Municipal Ordinance No. 2022- 205; Prescribing the rate of Tricycle Fares within the Municipality of Tangalan, Aklan and Providing penalties for violation thereof.  The committee answers all the inquiry coming from the operator and route president.

The Committee on Transportation and Communication together with PCPL Christian Solanoy and route president inspected the eleven (11) tricycle units. The Committee found out that:

1. All signal lights — Functioning

2. Head light (hi and low)—- Functioning

3. Tail light —- Functioning

4. Brake light —- Functioning

5. Side car —- Ok

6. Side Mirror —- Ok

7. Driver’s Licence —- Valid

8. Horn —- Ok

RECOMMENDATION:

Therefore, the committee recommend and moved that An Ordinance granting provisional

franchise or Motorized Tricycle Operators Permit (MTOP) to five (5) renewal applicant and

six (6) new applicants to operate in the territorial jurisdiction of the Municipality of

Tangalan, namely:
